Celebrating Cinco de Mayo with Festive Fare

It’s just not a Cinco de Mayo celebration without guacamole. The creamy dreamy dip is the official starter to a Mexican meal. Avocado is loaded with healthy fat and also provides fiber and potassium, so you can feel good dipping away. In this version of guac, I throw in tequila to, well, help get the party started. I usually like to serve the finished product in a margarita glass with a salted rim surrounded by whole-grain tortilla chips and crunchy carrot sticks because a pretty presentation is everything.
