I love a simple and indulgent sweet treat that’s single-serve and packed with protein. This viral recipe checks off all the boxes. The yogurt gets nice and cold while the nutty chocolate coating hardens, creating a thick layer of magic shell deliciousness. I am obsessed.

This recipe makes 1 serving
Ingredients:
  • • 5-ounce single container Greek yogurt (2%)
  • • 1-2 Tablespoons chocolate chips, melted
  • • Chopped nuts, optional
Preparation:

Mix your favorite single-serve yogurt and pour melted chocolate over the top. Gently spread the chocolate so it coats the top of the yogurt, and sprinkle chopped nuts.

You can place in fridge or freezer for just about 15-20 minutes and the chocolate will harden. I liked the freezer because it chilled and firmed the yogurt a bit, making it richer and more indulgent. BUT, don’t forget about it in the freezer or the yogurt will become rock solid.  You can always keep it in the fridge, and if you prefer it firmed like me, transfer to freezer 15 mins before serving.

When the chocolate top layer hardens, it can be tough to break with a spoon. Instead, I like to lift up the top chocolate coating (it’ll lift easily when its firmed) and break it apart with my fingers so I have lots of bite-size pieces with every delicious bite.
