Celebrate the holidays with eggnog shots for everyone…kids included. These dessert shots feature protein-rich Greek yogurt, warm spices (cinnamon, nutmeg and ground cloves) that give the classic sip its distinctive flavor, and of course, crushed graham crackers for a satisfying crunch.

Feel free to tailor the spice quantities to suit your taste buds, but exercise caution with the ground cloves—a little goes a long way due to their robust intensity.

I like to make a big platter when I host a festive get-together. I even mix and match with other seasonal flavors, like pumpkin and apple, so there’s something for everyone. They may be small in size, but they are loaded with flavor and they’re lots of fun to devour. Let’s just say, I’m kind of a big shot whenever I bring out this dessert tray!

Eggnog Pudding Shots

These dessert shots feature protein-rich Greek yogurt, warm spices (cinnamon, nutmeg and ground cloves) that give the classic sip its distinctive flavor, and of course, crushed graham crackers for a satisfying crunch.
Servings: 6 shots
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Vanilla Greek yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Pinch 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Pinch salt
  • Dash optional rum or rum extract
  • 1 sheet graham cracker, crushed

Instructions

  • Add yogurt to a small mixing bowl and stir in all the spices so they’re evenly distributed throughout the yogurt.
  • Stash in refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes to overnight to allow flavors to meld.
  • Fill 6 shot glasses with yogurt mixture and top with crushed graham crackers and a squirt of whipped cream. Add a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon on top.

Notes

• You can use any favorite yogurt brand. I use a brand sweetened with stevia and without added sugar. You can also use plain, unflavored Greek yogurt, and simply add ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract and a sweetener of choice (1 to 2 tablespoons sugar, honey, maple syrup, stevia or monk fruit) to the ingredients you mix in.
