With that in mind, I created these sweet Apple Pie Shots. Each one is 45 calories a piece; which means you can enjoy seconds or thirds, and still come in at less than half the amount of one full pie slice. Go ahead and give them…a shot.

Apple Pie Shots

I created these sweet Apple Pie Shots. Each one is 45 calories a piece; which means you can enjoy seconds or thirds, and still come in at less than half the amount of one full pie slice.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
 

  • 1 apple, finely diced, skin on
  • ΒΌ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 cinnamon graham cracker squares, finely crumbled

Instructions
 

  • Mix chopped apple with brown sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  • In a separate small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in water until smooth and no lumps remain. Add the mixture to the bowl with chopped apples and mix until everything is well combined.
  • Microwave for one minute, remove bowl and mix well, then microwave for another minute. The mixture should now be thick and gooey.
  • Add a tablespoon of apple mixture to the bottom of each shot glass and sprinkle on crumbled graham cracker. Add another tablespoon of apple mixture followed by more graham cracker.
  • Garnish with an optional squirt of whipped topping and a dash of ground cinnamon.
