I transformed this classic cocktail into slimming ice pops for only 50 calories a ‘pop.’ Plus, each one contains 2 grams of fiber and a blast of immune-boosting vitamin C. It’s a totally delicious and refreshing treat for a sunny day.

This recipe makes 6 to 8 pops
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups sliced frozen strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Juice of 1 lime (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 2 oz rum
  • ¼ cup water

 

Preparation:

In small bowl mix the sugar and fresh sliced strawberries (save the frozen strawberries for later step). Cover and refrigerate for about 20 to 30 minutes, or until strawberries begin to sweeten and release their natural juices.

Add the fresh strawberry and sugar mixture to blender with remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth. Pour into ice pop molds and freeze for about 6 hours or until frozen solid.
