Chili Lime Crema
This little number is so delicious and creamy! I whipped it up on a whim one night while we were having taco bowls for dinner, and now it’s a staple in my fridge. My family loves anything with a Tex-Mex twist (you’ve probably caught on by now, haha), so I leaned into those flavors—zesty lime, smoky paprika, and a hint of heat—to create something that’s part dip, part dressing, and full-on flavor party.

It starts with protein-packed nonfat Greek yogurt, which gives it a creamy base without a heavy calorie load. I also add a touch of light mayo for full body texture—it’s optional but does give it an extra-rich consistency. Then I jazz it up with garlic, fresh herbs, and just enough hot sauce to keep things interesting.

Why this crema deserves a spot in your fridge
- Endlessly versatile: Works as a dip, drizzle, or dressing.
- Light yet luscious: Greek yogurt keeps it creamy and protein-rich.
- Tex-Mex twist: Bright lime, smoky spice, and a subtle kick of heat.
- Meal-prep friendly: Stays fresh for days, so you can reach for it anytime.

Whether you’re dipping, drizzling, or dolloping, this Chili Lime Crema adds a wonderful pop to whatever it touches. I use it on my Turkey Tacos and serve it on the side of my Oven Baked French Fries. I also spoon it over grain bowls, grilled shrimp, roasted veggies, or crisp salads…and if you thin it out just a tad (using water, milk or low-fat buttermilk), it makes an incredible dressing. I highly recommend trying it on my Mason Jar Taco Salad and my Tex-Mex Salad with Crispy Quinoa. Oh, and it’s also fabulous as a creamy spread on wraps or burgers.
Honestly, the hardest part is not licking the spoon!
