I put a new spin on this classic cocktail by incorporating fresh blackberries to provide natural sweetness while simultaneously upping the nutrition ante. Made with just 5 simple ingredients, this lovely libation contains 5 whopping grams of filling fiber and a ton of delicious flavor. Plus, the blackberries provide a nice dose of vitamin C, brain-boosting antioxidants…and a built-in snack. Cheers to superfood cocktails!

- Total Time
- • ¾ cup fresh blackberries, divided
- • 1 tablespoon lime juice
- • 1 ounce tequila
- • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey
- • ¼ cup sparkling wine or champagne
- • ½ cup ice cubes
In a glass, lightly muddle ½ cup of the blackberries with the honey and lime juice using a wooden spoon. Add the tequila, ice cubes, and the remaining ½ cup blackberries (leave them whole) and gently stir. Top with the sparkling wine or champagne. For an extra-special touch, line your glass rims with salt or sugar before making your cocktails.
