I put a new spin on this classic cocktail by incorporating fresh blackberries to provide natural sweetness while simultaneously upping the nutrition ante. Made with just 5 simple ingredients, this delish libation clocks in under 200 calories and contains 5 whopping grams of filling fiber. Plus, the blackberries provide a nice dose of vitamin C, brain-boosting antioxidants…and a built-in snack. Cheers to superfood cocktails!

This recipe makes 1 cocktail
Ingredients:
  • ¾ fresh blackberries, divided
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 ounce tequila
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey
  • ¼ cup sparkling wine or champagne
  • ½ cup ice cubes
Preparation:

In a glass, lightly muddle ½ cup blackberries with honey and lime juice (using a wooden spoon). Add tequila, ice cubes, remaining blackberries (whole) and gently stir. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with optional salt or sugar rim and additional blackberries on the rim.

Makes 1 cocktail.
