Just a little too tart for me. Next time I make it I will use 1/2 the amount of lemon. I added a little maple syrup and it was great. Very refreshing on a hot day.
Hi Janet, thanks for sharing your experience! Reducing the lemon and adding a bit of sweetener sounds like a great adjustment since you found it a little tart. We love to hear how you made the recipe your own and we’re glad it hit the spot 🙂

I just made this recipe and am enjoying it on the porch on this hot summer day. It is delicious! I added banana as well because it sounded good to me. I love the taste! Cold and refreshing! Thanks for the recipe.
Hi Jean, thrilled to hear you’re enjoying this refreshing sip, and we love the addition of banana—that sounds amazing! Cheers!

I also found it a bit too tart…didn’t really get the pina colada vibe. It was still a refreshing, slushy drink on a very warm day!
Hi Kim! Thanks so much for giving it a try and for your honest feedback! You’re definitely right… it leans on the tart side, especially with the combo of citrus and pineapple. If you give it another go, maybe try adding a ripe banana to give it some natural sweetness and creaminess. Either way, I’m glad it hit the spot on a warm day!
