Pumpkin Banana Pudding (made with vanilla yogurt)
Looking for an easy, nutritious way to elevate your typical yogurt snack? This Banana Pumpkin Pudding does just that— in just five minutes and with only three simple ingredients, you can whip up this quick recipe that not only adds nutritional value but also increases the volume of your snack, keeping you fuller for longer.

Why you’ll love this Banana Pumpkin Pudding:
- Easy to make: Five minutes and three ingredients are all you need!
- Packed with nutrition: Each ingredient brings a slew of different nutrients to make your yogurt a complete snack with protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
- Naturally sweet: The banana adds a natural touch of sweetness without the need for added sugar (I use a no-added-sugar Greek yogurt).
- Fall-inspired flavors: Perfect way to ease into the season, this recipe brings together the superfood of the season in one easy snack or quick breakfast.

The ease and deliciousness of this recipe are undeniable, but what I love most is how packed it is with nutrients (no surprise there—I am a dietitian, after all!). Here’s a quick look at the powerhouse ingredients:
- Greek Yogurt: A protein-packed choice that helps you stay fuller longer. It’s also rich in probiotics, which support gut health.
- Pumpkin: Loaded with fiber and antioxidants like beta-carotene, which promotes healthy skin and vision.
- Banana: A great source of potassium, an important nutrient for heart health and muscle function.

This quick recipe turns a simple vanilla yogurt cup into a memorable snack, breakfast meal or even dessert, all while utilizing everyday ingredients. Plus, it’s a great way to sneak in extra fruits and veggies!

Pumpkin Banana Pudding (made with vanilla yogurt)
Ingredients
- ¾ to 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt, single-serve container
- ¼ cup canned pumpkin purėe
- ½ banana, chopped
- Ground cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, optional for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the vanilla Greek yogurt and canned pumpkin puree. Stir until smooth and fully blended.
- Add the chopped banana and gently mix it in. Sprinkle with optional ground cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. You can also garnish with a few extra banana slices on top for a fun presentation.
Notes
• Swap the vanilla Greek yogurt for plain Greek yogurt if you prefer less sweetness and want more control over added flavors.
• Add a tablespoon of chopped nuts, such as walnuts or pecans, for extra crunch and healthy fats. A sprinkling of pumpking seeds, sunflower seeds or chia seeds works, too!
• Drizzle a little honey or maple syrup for a natural sweetener if you’re using plain yogurt. Storage:
• This pudding is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours. The banana may soften over time, so consider adding fresh banana slices just before serving if prepping in advance.

I made this recipe- it’s super easy and delicious. I added a couple swirls of maple syrup and it was perfect.

Would the yogurt be fat free?
Hi Amalia! I use a no-fat, no-added-sugar Greek Yogurt (like vanilla-flavored Oikos Triple Zero). But you can also choose to use a 2% vanilla flavored Greek yogurt. If you try it, let me know what you think!
This was very easy, tasty and good. I layer the pudding in dessert dishes (walnuts, bananas, then pudding. I also topped it off with homemade whipped cream.
