Hello, pesto! Pizza gets a green, herbalicious makeover with this scrumptious spread. I mean, toast towered with savory pesto, melty mozzarella, juicy tomato, and aromatic basil… it doesn’t get much better than this.

Pesto Pizza Toast
Hello, pesto! Pizza gets a green, herbalicious makeover with this scrumptious spread.
Ingredients
- 1 slice whole-grain toast
- 1 Tablespoon pesto, jarred or my Classic Pesto
- 3 to 4 tomato slices
- ¾ ounce mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
- A few basil leaves, garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ºF.
- Spread pesto on whole-grain toast and layer with sliced tomatoes, mozzarella cheese. Broil for a few minutes in oven until cheese gets melty. Top with extra pesto and basil leaves.

Add 70 calories per additional Tablespoon of pesto.
