This sweet-and-savory Caprese twist combines the best of summer: juicy peaches and vine-ripened tomatoes layered with creamy mozzarella and fresh basil. It’s bright, beautiful, and bursting with flavor—an instant showstopper on any table!

I first made this when my counter was overflowing with summer produce—peaches and tomatoes ripening all at once. Instead of choosing between them, I paired them together… and WOW. The tomatoes bring their signature tang, the peaches add a sweet surprise, and the combination is pure magic alongside fresh mozzarella and a drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette (or glaze… or even hot honey if you’re feeling spicy).

Why this platter’s my go-to for summer parties

  • It’s sweet + savory perfection: Juicy peaches and ripe tomatoes pair surprisingly well with mozzarella and basil—it’s a fresh twist that works beautifully.
  • No cooking required: Just slice, layer, and drizzle. That’s it!
  • Looks gorgeous, tastes even better: This dish is a total table showpiece, with vibrant colors and beloved layers of yum.

It’s a quick and gorgeous dish for backyard dinners, breezy lunches, or anytime you want to impress without turning on the stove. One bite and you’ll be so happy!

Step 1: Prepare your ingredients— slice tomatoes, peaches, and mozzarella. (I love my New West KnifeWorks Joy Bauer Chef Knife!!)
Step 2: Arrange the peach and tomato slices on a large platter, alternating with mozzarella and tucking in basil leaves between.
Step 3: Sprinkle the top with flaky sea salt and a few grinds of black pepper. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette…
… balsamic glaze, or hot honey—whatever flavor profile you’re feeling!

This caprese platter is also part of a bigger obsession: peach + mozzarella everything. If you haven’t tried my Peach Caprese Burger, trust me, it’s a must… imagine layers of basil, juicy grilled peaches, and creamy mozzarella tucked into a bun with a scrumptious turkey burger. SO. GOOD.

Peach & Tomato Caprese Platter

This recipe is bright, beautiful, and bursting with flavor—an instant showstopper on any table!
Yield: 4 servings
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced into wedges or rounds
  • 2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced into thick rounds (heirloom varieties look especially pretty)
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced (log, ball, or even mozzarella pearls work)
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves, tear larger ones for bite-sized pieces
  • Balsamic vinaigrette, or balsamic glaze, or hot honey—for drizzling
  • Flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Layer the platter: Arrange the peach and tomato slices on a large platter, alternating with mozzarella and tucking in basil leaves between. Let it be casual or fan them out in a pattern—there’s no wrong way to make it look gorgeous.
  • Season and finish: Sprinkle the top with flaky sea salt and a few grinds of black pepper. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette, glaze, or hot honey—whatever flavor profile you’re feeling!
  • Serve fresh: This dish shines when it’s just assembled and served at room temperature. But if you have leftovers, you can store in an airtight container in the fridge for one more day. See recipe notes below.

Notes

Variations:
• Add texture by sprinkling toasted pine nuts, chopped pistachios, or roasted and chopped cashews on top.
• Give it a leafy twist by serving each portion over a bed of arugula or mixed greens for extra volume and a peppery bite.
• You can try nectarines or plums or sliced mango in place of peaches for a fun change.
Make it gluten-free: Naturally gluten-free! Just be sure your vinaigrette, glaze, or hot honey is certified if needed.
Storage: Best when freshly assembled, but if you have leftovers, pop them in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 1 day. The fruit may release a bit of juice—just give it a gentle mix before enjoying again.
