These Monster Mouths are a fun spin on the usual apple with peanut butter pairing. They’re perfect for kids, but adults will love them too (obviously)!

Deliciously creepy, you can feel free to swap out the peanut butter for any other nut butter of choice, and use broken pretzel sticks or pomegranate seeds to create rickety scary teeth. Just make sure to bite them… before they bite you, LOL.

Monster Mouths

These Monster Mouths are a fun spin on the usual apple with peanut butter pairing. They’re perfect for kids, but adults will love them too (obviously)!
Servings: 4 mouths
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 apple, any variety
  • 3 to 6 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons slivered almonds

Instructions

  • Cut the apple into 8 slices: 4 slices should be medium-large (these will serve as the bottom of the mouths) and the remaining 4 slices should be slightly smaller/thinner (these will serve as the mouth tops).
  • Spread peanut butter on the inside of each slice. Then, place the smaller slices on top of the larger slices (peanut butter facing inward and touching).
  • Create rickety teeth, by placing the slithered almonds (or other ingredient of choice) between the two slices, gently pressing down into the bigger apple slice to help anchor them.
