Grapefruits are hydrating, sweet and delicious. Plus, one large grapefruit is just 120 calories and packed with a generous amount of water to help flush out your system. (It contains potassium, too!). For an even more refreshing treat, pop this concoction in the freezer for a couple hours and scrape it up like “ices.”

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit*
  • 1 tablespoon chopped mint

Instructions

  • Slice grapefruit in half. Using a knife, cut between the membrane and flesh to remove each triangular segment.
  • Then, use a spoon to scoop out the flesh into a bowl; the inside should just fall apart (alternatively, you can also shred it with a fork). Serve, or chill and enjoy cold.

Notes

Note: If you are on medication that contraindicates grapefruit or grapefruit juice, simply swap in an orange instead.
