Sautéed Beans and Salsa

This spicy bean mix is perfect for adding to tacos, tucking into a quesadilla, wrapping in a burrito, or scooping on top of a salad.

Ingredients
 

  • 16 ounces black beans, drained and rinsed*
  • 16 ounces pinto beans, drained and rinsed*
  • 16 ounces salsa, (mild, medium or hot)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

Instructions
 

  • Mix ingredients thoroughly and sauté over medium heat until bubbly and hot, about 5 to 10 minutes.

Notes

Note: You can swap in any variety of bean you like.
*Rinse in a colander under cold running water to remove as much salt as possible. Alternatively, you can also look for low-sodium brands.
