You won’t believe how much butter and sugar go into a typical recipe for Hot Buttered Rum. Hint: It’s the equivalent of 20 chocolate kisses. I know—I was in total shock. That’s why I decided to whip up a slimmer version that’s just as yummy and cozy as the original. You’ll notice there’s no actual butter in my recipe…that’s because the maple sryup provides a buttery flavor. Cheers!

This recipe makes 1 Serving
  • ½ cup hot water
  • 1½ teaspoons maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 ounce spiced rum

Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender. Process until well-combined.

Pour into a mug and enjoy!
