Ginger Sparkler

What is it about the holidays that makes people want to take perfectly good champagne and douse it with sugar and extra alcohol?

Ingredients
 

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 lemon wedge
  • 5 ounces champagne or sparkling wine

Instructions
 

  • Mix sugar and powdered ginger and add to small dish or saucer.
  • Run a lemon wedge along the rim of a champagne flute, then dip in sugar-ginger mix to rim the glass.
  • Add crystalized ginger to the bottom of the champagne flute, then pour in champagne. Enjoy!
