This recipe makes 1 serving
- • ½ inch fresh ginger, sliced
- • 1 cup water
- • 1 green tea bag (or 1 tablespoon loose green tea leaves in a tea ball)
- • 2 tablespoons milk (optional)
- • 1 teaspoon sugar or honey (optional)
Bring 1 cup water to a boil. Add the ginger and boil for 30 seconds more. Remove from the heat, and add the tea bag or tea ball. Steep for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the milk and sugar, if using.
Note: Add 10 calories per 2 tablespoons skim (fat-free) milk; add 20 calories per 1 teaspoon sugar or honey.
