This mocktail was born while I was experimenting with Key Lime LaCroix and matcha powder. Oh, it happened to be right before Halloween, thus the monster spin, haha.  That being said, there’s nothing monstrous about the taste: it’s light and refreshing, gently sweet with a strong citrus-forward flavor. Plus, you get all the health perks of matcha but without any intense flavoring since the potent green tea powder is nicely camouflaged within the mix. This beverage is bubbly, BOOze-free and truly sublime. 😉

This recipe makes 1 serving
Ingredients:
  • • 2 to 4 ounces lime juice
  • • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • • 2 to 4 Tablespoons boiling water
  • • 1 teaspoon honey
  • • 1 can LaCroix Key Lime Sparkling Water
  • • Lime slices, plastic eyeballs for garnish, optional
Preparation:

Pour lime juice into a few compartments of an ice cube tray and freeze for at least 3 hours or overnight.

In a small bowl, add matcha powder with boiling water, and stir until matcha is dissolved. Blend in the honey and let cool to room temperature.

Pour into a tall glass or fun monster cup (although, I may be the only crazy person to collect these, lol), add the lime-flavored LaCroix Sparkling Water and stir to mix everything together. Drop in the lime ice cubes, and garnish with optional ghoulish goodies.
