2-Ingredient Chocolate Blueberry Clusters
Just imagine biting into a delicious piece of chocolate filled with juicy pops of blueberry heaven. OMG, these are so good… perfect for when you want something sweet, refreshing, and a little bit fun. Plus, they’re packed with tons of antioxidants and fiber!

These Chocolate Blueberry Clusters are one of my most viral recipes online—and it’s easy to see why. As a self-proclaimed chocoholic and blueberry fanatic, this combo came naturally to me. Over the years, I’ve dipped, dunked, and coated just about every fruit in chocolate (strawberries, bananas, clementines, blueberries, pineapple— you name it!), but something about the burst of fresh blueberries wrapped in rich chocolate is next-level irresistible.
And if you’re as head-over-heels for the chocolate-blueberry duo as I am, there are plenty of other ways to bring the magic to your kitchen. My Chocolate Coffee Cookies are healthy enough to double as breakfast (yes, cookies for breakfast—sign me up!). You can also sneak chocolate chips into my Banana Blueberry Oatmeal Bake, Blueberry Protein Breakfast Pastries, and Single-Serve Jumbo Oatmeal Cookies for an instant upgrade. I like to think of chocolate as little nuggets of happiness and blueberries as sparkly sapphire gems—when the two meet, it’s pure treasure in every bite. Right?!

3 reasons to keep these clusters on repeat
- Two ingredients: Just chocolate and blueberries—minimal effort, maximum satisfaction.
- Antioxidant power couple: Dark chocolate + blueberries pack in beneficial plant compounds.
- No baking required: Melt, mix, chill. That’s it.

Can I use frozen blueberries instead of fresh?
Yes—fresh is ideal for these clusters, but frozen can work with a few simple tricks!
1. Let the frozen berries sit out for 5 to 10 minutes so they’re still cold and firm, but not rock-solid or frosty. This helps prevent the chocolate from seizing. Also, be sure to separate any clumped berries that may have formed in the freezer bag—you’ll want them loose and individual for even bites.
2. It’s very important to stir them into the melted chocolate quickly before the cold temperature causes the chocolate to firm up or clump. You’ll also want to work fast when mixing and portioning your clusters onto your parchment-lined baking sheet.
That said, fresh blueberries will give you the smoothest and most fuss-free experience

2-Ingredient Chocolate Blueberry Clusters
Ingredients
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
- 2 cups fresh blueberries, patted very dry
- Flaky sea salt, optional (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Line your pan(s): Line a large baking sheet (or 2 large plates or a tray) with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Melt the chocolate: Melt chocolate chips in the microwave (see notes) or using a double boiler until smooth and glossy.
- Add the blueberries: Stir the dry blueberries into the melted chocolate and mix quickly to coat (the chocolate will start to thicken as it cools). Be sure to scrape the bottom of the bowl to incorporate all of the melty chocolate.
- Scoop + shape: Lightly mist an ice cream/cookie scooper with cooking spray (you can also use a heaping tablespoon or another type of small scooper, ~2 to 3 Tablespoons worth). Scoop the mixture into about 16 mounds onto the parchment-lined sheet. Once they’re all on the sheet, gently press each mound to slightly flatten and widen it. (Don’t stress—any shape works!)
- Finish with optional flakey salt: While the chocolate is still wet, add a small pinch of flaky sea salt on top of each cluster.
- Chill to firm: Refrigerate (or freeze) until firm, about 30 minutes. Then, transfer to an airtight container and they're ready whenever a craving strikes!
Notes
- Fridge: Store in an airtight container for 5–7 days (chocolate stays firm; berries stay soft + juicy).
- Freezer: Freeze for up to 2 months. They’re so good straight from the freezer—snappy chocolate + cold berry bite!

I hope to make this soon
I think you’re going to love them, Cookie. Report back after you give them a try!
Yummy yummy
Hi Mariana! Thrilled you’re enjoying them! 😉
FABULOUS!!!!
So happy you enjoyed them, Kimberly!
Hi Joy –
Have made this receipe with dark chocolate? Any feedback ?
Thanks !
Hi Margo! Yes, while I usually make these blueberry clusters with semi-sweet chips (they’re smooth, sweet, and kid-friendly), I’ve definitely tested them with dark chocolate—specifically 72%—and they turned out amazing! The flavor is a bit richer and more intense, and it pairs beautifully with the juicy blueberries. So if you’re a dark chocolate fan, go for it!
Why use semi-sweet instead of dark which is healthier?
Hi Anon, great question! I often use semi-sweet chips because they have a more mild, universally loved flavor…especially for younger kids or anyone who prefers a sweeter bite. But you’re absolutely right, dark chocolate (like 60% and above) does have some added health perks, thanks to the higher cacao content. Personally, I go back and forth between semi-sweet and 72% dark depending on my mood… and I honestly love it both ways! So feel free to use whichever chocolate makes your taste buds happiest 😉
Can’t wait to make these!
Will you please recommend a dark chocolate brand with Cacao, that you could use in this recipe.
Thank you!
Hi Christine! Some great brands to look for are Guittard, Ghirardelli, Valrhona, Callebaut, Equal Exchange, Hu Kitchen, and Beyond Good—they all offer dark chocolate chips ranging from about 60% to 80% cacao. If you prefer a sweeter, milder flavor, go for the 60–65% range. For a bolder, more intense chocolate experience, I recommend the 70–72% options. Personally, I find that anything higher loses that indulgent, melt-in-your-mouth magic (just my personal opinion!). Hope that helps….and I hope you enjoy this yummy recipe!
How about using frozen blueberries?? Any tips??
I’m going to test the recipe with frozen blueberries tonight — stay tuned!!
How about frozen blueberries?? Any tips??
I made the chocolate and blueberry snacks and live them. I am wondering how long thry will last in frig. Not that I will have a problem eating them.
Haha I love that, Linda—-sounds like they won’t last too long, just like in my house!! But just in case: they’ll stay fresh in the fridge for about 5 to 7 days, and in the freezer for up to 2 months. I actually like stashing a batch in the freezer and eating them frozen… the chocolate becomes chilled and snappy, and you still have bursts of juicy berries in every bite!
These were so easy and yummy. I froze mine. As Joy said, they’re snappy and poo in your mouth
Hi Joanne, Thanks for sharing your comments with us—these are a fun and sweet treat! So glad you enjoyed them!
