Nut butters offer you a great way to enjoy the same health benefits of nuts for a lot less money. Peanut butter, for instance, is a concentrated source of protein, as well as heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, vitamin E, and B vitamins. Of course, it’s also a concentrated source of calories, so make sure you limit yourself to no more than 2 tablespoons per serving (for 195 calories). Opt for natural nut butters without added sugars or other additives. It’s amazing on sandwiches and toast, of course, but be creative and work it into meals and snacks in fun ways, like I’ve done in my yummy PB-Stuffed Strawberries.
