Strawberry-Banana Tofu Smoothie
Silken tofu gives this smoothie a good dose of vegetarian protein and a thick, creamy texture. If you prefer, substitute ½ cup nonfat yogurt (plain or vanilla) for the tofu.

Strawberry-Banana Tofu Smoothie
Silken tofu gives this smoothie a good dose of vegetarian protein and a thick, creamy texture.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup soy milk, may substitute skim, almond, or rice milk
- ½ cup silken tofu, quarter of a 16-ounce block
- ½ medium banana, preferably frozen, sliced into rounds
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- 3 to 5 ice cubes
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth and frothy.
Notes
1 serving = 2 cups
Note: For celiac disease, check soy milk label to ensure it’s gluten-free.
