Christmas Oats

Oatmeal is a classic breakfast all year round, but if you’re looking to add some holiday cheer, these oats exude seasonal joy.
Servings: 1 serving
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

Gingerbread Oatmeal

  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
  • teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • teaspoon ground ginger
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Berry Reindeer

  • 2 strawberries
  • 2 blueberries
  • 3 pretzel sticks, broken in half

Kiwi Christmas Tree

  • 6 slices of peeled kiwi
  • 2 pretzel sticks, broken in half

Tree decorations:

  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Shredded coconut

Instructions

Gingerbread Oatmeal

  • Combine all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Cook in microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until oatmeal is thick.

Berry Reindeer

  • Slice the stem off both strawberries. Place one strawberry in the center of your bowl of oatmeal and add two blueberry “eyes” directly above it. Slice the other strawberry in half and lay the halves (“ears”) on the sides of your oatmeal. Arrange the pretzels in the shape of two antlers by creating a “V” shape with two halves, and one in the middle.

Kiwi Christmas Tree

  • Align your pretzel sticks (tree trunk) at the base of your bowl of oatmeal. Place 3 kiwi slices right above the pretzels, then 2 above that, and 1 slice on top in the shape of a Christmas tree. Add a few berries and/or pomegranate seed ornaments to your tree and sprinkle a little shredded coconut “snow.”
