Caprese Tulips

Adorn your plate with a beautiful bouquet of edible flowers. This pretty arrangement incorporates three ingredients we love and crave in a caprese salad.
Yield: 12 tulips
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients
 

  • 12 Roma, plum tomatoes
  • 12 mozzarella balls or slices, 1/3 ounce
  • 1 bunch scallions, “stems”
  • A handful of basil leaves, optional garnish
  • Optional balsamic glaze or dressing of choice

Instructions
 

  • Carefully slice an “X” ¾ of the way through the top of each Roma tomato and place a single mozzarella ball or slice in each tomato.
  • Lay a bunch of scallions (“stems”) on a long platter, and place stuffed cherry tomatoes at the top. Toss on optional basil leaves and serve with optional balsamic glaze or dressing for drizzling.
