- Using a microplane, grate each frozen pineapple spear over a small serving bowl to collect all the shavings.
Notes
• Your pineapple spears have to be frozen solid for this trick to work. If you find it’s too cold to hold (as you create your shavings), wrap a paper towel around the part you’re holding.
• I find that using a microplane is best; a box grater may not create the same fluffy, shaved effect.
• The shavings will melt pretty fast so make this right before serving!
