Ingredients
12ouncesfat-free evaporated milk
1tablespooncornstarch
½cupunsweetened cocoa powder
½cupsugar
½teaspoonvanilla extract
⅛teaspoonKosher salt
1cupstrawberries
1cupfresh pineapple chunks
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, whisk the cornstarch into the evaporated milk. Place over low heat and stir in the cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
Cook, whisking constantly, until thoroughly combined and the liquid starts to thicken, about 10 minutes. Remove sauce from heat to prevent it from becoming too thick.
Serve immediately with strawberries and pineapple, or other fresh fruit, such as sliced apples, pears and bananas.
