“Give me a break, give me break, break me off a piece of this copycat KitKat bar!”
Yield: 8KitKats
Prep Time: 5 minutesmins
Total Time: 35 minutesmins
Ingredients
2tablespoonscreamy peanut butter
4full sheets graham crackers, each carefully cut into 4 rectangles*
1cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips, melted**
Coarse kosher or sea salt
Instructions
Line a cutting board, baking sheet or large plate with parchment paper.
Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the top of a graham cracker rectangle. Add a second graham cracker rectangle perfectly fitted on top and spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the top piece, too.
Place the “double-decker graham” on your parchment paper. Continue with the same process until you have 8 double-decker pieces on your plate (graham cracker, peanut butter, graham cracker, peanut butter).
One at a time, dip all sides in melted chocolate so each double-decker piece is fully covered. As you coat each piece, place them back on the parchment paper. Add a light sprinkling of coarse salt over the tops. Place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or until the chocolate firms. Serve and enjoy!
These will last for up to 5 days in the fridge or up to 2 months in the freezer (in a sealed freezer bag or container).
Notes
*Gently glide and wiggle the knife over serrated lines to create clean cuts.**You’ll have about 3 tablespoons leftover but starting with this amount makes it easier for dunking.
