Protect yourself from cold and flu bugs (or help fight symptoms if you already have a pesky cold) with these refreshing and hydrating ice pops, made from grapefruit, guava and carrots.

Ingredients
1grapefruit, pink when available for added sweetness, peel and pith removed*
1orange, peel and pith removed*
1cupguava juice
1cupcarrot juice
½teaspoonground ginger
1teaspoonlime juice
1tablespoonhoney or maple syrup

*When prepping the grapefruit and orange, discard any obvious pits, but there’s no need to remove all of them.
Instructions
Combine all the ingredients in a food processor or high-powered blender until completely pureed. Pour the mixture into a set of standard ice pop molds, using about ⅓ cup mixture per pop. Freeze until the pops are firm and solid, at least three hours.
An alternative method if you don’t have ice pop molds: Pour the mixture into small paper cups and wrap each top tightly with a piece of aluminum foil.
Carefully poke a wooden stick through the foil and into the cup to serve as a handle, making sure each one is centered and straight. Place in the freezer.
