Adding fruit to sparkling water infuses your glass with extra flavor and gives you a double dose of hydration. This recipe calls for cucumber, kiwi and lime, three tasty produce picks that are rich in water as well as nutrition. I also love that they add a pop of color to your cup. This drink is perfect to sip on a warm summer day, after a grueling workout, for an elegant spring party, or simply when you want a new way to quench your thirst. You can also choose to make a great big batch in a pitcher to serve for a group or stash in your fridge.

This recipe makes 1 serving
Ingredients:
  • • 4 thin slices hot house cucumber or other cucumber variety
  • • ½ kiwi, peeled and thinly sliced
  • • 2 thin slices of fresh lime, seeded
  • • 1 can lime-flavored sparkling water
  • • Mint or basil for garnish (optional)
Preparation:

Place the cucumber, kiwi, and lime in the bottom of a large drinking glass. With the back of a wooden spoon, gently crush the ingredients for about 20 seconds, releasing their essential oils and juices. Pour over the lime-sparkling water and top with ice if desired. Add herbs for garnish.
